About Dennis

Dennis Keating

Dennis Keating was raised in a devout Catholic family and placed his personal faith in Jesus Christ in 1972 after hearing the gospel at Forest Home Christian Conference Center. He received his undergraduate degree in accounting from San Diego State University in 1975, and a Master of Divinity from Talbot Theological Seminary in 1979.

He then joined the pastoral staff at Emmanuel Faith where he served 10 years as College Pastor, 4 years overseeing Adult Ministries and 26 years as Senior Pastor. He recently retired from Emmanuel Faith and now leads Grateful Shepherd Ministries that’s dedicated to helping individual believers and church congregations thrive!

Dennis and his wife Marsha have been married for 44 years and they have three adult children and eight grandchildren.

He enjoys most athletic activities, especially basketball and woodworking.
"For four decades Dennis Keating has been modeling what it means to "make disciples" for the kingdom of God. His example as a pastor, teacher, mentor and leader made a profound impact on my life and on the lives of so many others. I am so excited to see this work continue through Grateful Shepherd Ministries!"
