Teaching

Dennis is passionate about communicating God’s word in a way that produces ministry multiplication. Based upon 2Timothy 2:2, he’s committed to teaching those who will then reproduce in the lives of others. That’s why he helped develop and taught at the Biblical Institute for Leadership Development (BILD) at Emmanuel Faith Community Church, taught “Church Leadership and Management” at Talbot School of Theology, led pastors conferences in China about studying and preaching, and taught at Christ for the City Missionary conferences in Costa Rica about “Marriage and the Ministry.”
“Dennis Keating is a wise and masterful communicator of God’s truth to pastors, church leaders, and those seeking the Lord’s will in their daily lives. I’m grateful for the engaging, solid biblical teaching that he provides to pastors and guest attending Forest Home on a regular basis. I also appreciate his humble and shepherding approach with people. He is a gift to the ministry of Forest Home.”

"I have been working with Dennis Keating for almost 20 years. I regard him as my brother in the grace of our Lord. He is the very best pastor I have ever had the privilege of working with. His unbelievable dedication and his superior teaching insights make this the most special experience for everyone. You will grab fresh insights into the Word and into this unique Land where so much of the events of the Bible took place."

Preaching

Dennis’ ministry is focused upon a clear, verse by verse explanation of both the Old and New Testaments with emphasis upon practical applications to everyday life. His use of physical props connects biblical truths to visual examples that help make the Scriptures memorable and practical.

His series have addressed theological issues, relational topics and prophetic themes such as:

• “God’s Wisdom for Raising Kids.” (Proverbs)
• “Pilgrim: The Struggles Along the Pathway to Spiritual Growth.” (Sanctification)
• “God, I don’t get it!” (Habakkuk)
• “When God’s People Sing the Blues.” (2Corinthians)
• “God’s Song for Lovers.” (Song of Solomon)
• “Victory" (Easter)
• “Great Marriages” (Various)
• “Jesus is Enough' (Colossians)
• “What Does the Future Hold"

See and hear some examples on the Library page.
"I sat under Dennis’s teaching a few years ago during Family Camp. I was revived by his passion for the Word and his mastery in presenting its truths. What’s more was Dennis’s posture while leading us—full of compassion and love. We enjoyed a few meals together that week—and I soon realized that the man in the pulpit was the same encourager at the breakfast table. I remain ever thankful for this mentor, teacher, and friend."

Mentoring

Dennis has a passion for training leaders for the home and business, local and global outreach and especially for church ministry. He has experience in helping others develop ministry skills, in soul care, in teaching about balancing family and ministry responsibilities and in creating personal and professional vision.

His relational style of modeling, envisioning and encouraging is based on the training philosophy “Who you are is more important than what you do.” Numerous ministry leaders have been raised up and are actively serving the Lord as a result.

"My life and ministry have been forever transformed because of Dennis' shepherd's heart. His willing to invest in and train me has resulted in me being prepared for and experiencing over 30 years of service in Kingdom Ministry. Today, I am blessed to call Dennis not only my mentor but more importantly my friend."

Dennis has also led numerous study tours of Israel, Greece and Rome.
“Working with Dennis has been an incredible encouragement to me! Learning how to lead a church requires patience and perseverance. Those are qualities that are not easily learned on your own. Having someone like Dennis Keating to lean on when times were you need help has been an significant piece of my personal and professional growth.”
